Abstract

|
본 연구의 목적은 입원아동 어머니의 간호교육 프로그램이 어머니의 상태불안 및 부모역할확신에 미치는 효과를 규명하기 위함이며 연구설계는 비동등성 대조군 전후 시차 설계의 유사 실험연구이다. 연구대상은 U시에 소재한 U대학교병원 아동간호 단위에 입원한 아동의 어머니였으며, 실험군 50명 대조군 52명이었다. 자료수집기간은 1999년 12월 28일부터 2000년 4월 5일까지였다. 연구도구로는 실험도구로 연구자가 제작한 공통간호 교육과 개별간호 교육에 따른 간호교육 프로그램을 전문가의 자문을 얻어 사용하였다. 측정도구로 Spielberger(1972)가 제작하고 김정택(1978)등이 번역한 상태불안 측정도구를 사용하였고, 부모역할확신 측정도구는 Melnyk(1994)이 개발한 도구를 원대영(1999)이 번역하고 수정 보완한 도구를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과요약은 다음과 같다. 1. ’간호교육 프로그램을 제공받은 실험군은 받지 않은 대조군보다 상태불안 정도가 더 많이 감소할 것이다’ 라는 제 1가설은 실험군과 대조군의 상태불안 정도가 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나 지지되었다(p=0.016). 2. ’간호교육 프로그램을 제공받은 실험군은 받지 않은 대조군보다 부모역할확신 정도가 더 많이 증가 할 것이다’ 라는 제 2가설도 실험군과 대조군의 부모 역할확신 정도가 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나 지지 되었다(p=0.004). 결론적으로 입원아동 어머니의 간호교육 프로그램은 상태불안 감소와 부모역할확신 정도를 높이는데도 효과가 있는 것으로 확인되었으므로, 임상 실무에서 적극적으로 활용하여 입원아동 어머니의 불안감소 및 부모역할확신 강화에 기여할 수 있으리라 생각된다.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to test the effect of a nursing education program for mothers of hospitalized children on state anxiety and belief on parental role of mothers.
Methods : This study was a non-equivalent control group, non-synchronized quasiexperimental design. The study subjects were 102 mothers, 50 in experimental group and 52 in control group, whose children (under 5 years old) were hospitalized for more than 3 days in the child care unit. The experimental instrument for intervention was a structured nursing education program developed on the basis of previous studies and advises of expert group. The measurement tool for state anxiety was the one that was developed by Spielberger and translated by Kim. The tool for belief on parental role was the one that was developed by Melnyk(1994) and amended according to the Korean parental emotion.
Results : The degree of state anxiety of the experimental group was decreased significantly more than that of the control group(p=0.016). The degree of belief of parental role of the experimental group was increased significantly more than that of the control group(p=0.004).
Conclusion : The nursing education program for mothers of hospitalized children is useful for reducing state anxiety and promoting belief on parental role of mothers and therefore it is recommended to utilize in clinical nursing practices.
